This postcard from 1949 shows Unit II looking from the ocean to the bay.

This postcard from 1949 shows the early development of Unit II.  Neither Seacrest Beach (to the left) or Monterey Beach (to the right) are developed.

The back of this postcard reads - "Small boat basin, Ocean Beach, New Jersey."  This is an early view of the Unit III boat basin.  If you look carefully you will see there are no bulkheads and a bridge spanning the back side of the boat basin.

The back of this postcard reads - "Cottages and boats at Ocean Beach, New Jersey."  The view is from the Ocean Beach Marina towards Sailfish Way in Unit III.

Lagoon front cottages in Ocean Beach Unit III circa 1960.  If you look carefully you can see that there are no bulkheads, just sod banks.  The bulkheads were added at a later date.

We Need Your Help!!!

This postcard shows a cottage in Ocean Beach circa 1950.  We believe it is either Unit II or early Unit III.  The house number is 7 which means it was located four houses from the highway (either on the beach side or between the highways).  If you can help us better identify this cottage (year, location, etc.) please contact us.  We will add any helpful information we receive.

Ocean Beach Postcard

This postcard shows Unit III from the air circa 1954.  What is interesting about this postcard is that if you look in the upper left corner you will see that several streets in Unit III are yet to be completed.  You can also see that the Ocean Beach Marina and Sailfish Way have not yet been built.

Ocean Beach Postcard

The back of this postcard reads - "Street scene at Ocean Beach, N.J."

Ocean Beach Postcard

The front of this postcard reads - "Along Highway 35, Ocean Beach, N.J.".  We believe this card shows E. Marlin Way.  Based on the cars and the two-way highway we think it was taken in the early 50's.  Take a look at the larger image and let us know if we are correct.
